Has anyone successfully registered iTalk via iPhone with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and if so, would you share your setup steps?
Thanks,
Jeff

OpenSky** is a free service provided by Gizmo5 which allows any mobile phone, web browser or IP aware phone network (SIP, asterisk, etc) to more easily communicate with Skype users. OpenSky supports sending text messages and voice calls in certain scenarios.

We tried to get iTalk working on an iPhone so that we could just type in "skype_SkypeUsername" (one of the dialing scenarios for Opensky) and place a SIP call to that Skype user. However, the iTalk app would not allow us to dial any letters/alias.If this could be fixed, then users could call Skype users using OpenSky via iPhone/iTalk. Any input would be appreciated.

Yep. This is working, and it sounds quite good actually.
Assuming that you have the following on the UCM:
1. An end-user either through LDAP or local to the UCM
2. A phone configured as a Third-Party SIP (basic) with at least one DN and your iPhone's Wi-Fi MAC address (must match perfectly!)
3. This phone has a SIP profile and security profile (the more basic the better)
4. The end-user configured as the Digest User in the protocol specific settings of the phone
5. That above SIP phone associated to the end-user under User Management
The key is properly configuring the SIP Account on your iPhone. Make the new account and put in the FQDN or IP for the Domain. Now, the tricky part is to put the DN for the Username. Use the LDAP or local password of the UCM end-user for the Password.
Click the Advance button and use the end-user account name for the Auth User.
If you don't use the DN for the Username and end-user for the Auth User you won't register.
Hopefully this works as well for you as it did for me. Enjoy!
